Liberty University has named former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo as Distinguished Chair of its Helms School of Government.
Pompeo, who served as Secretary of State under then-President Donald Trump, considered a 2024 run for the GOP presidential nomination, but announced in April that he would not run.
Liberty President Dondi Costin credited Pompeo with serving our country with honor and distinction as a tank platoon leader during the Cold War, as a successful business leader, as a member of Congress, as the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency, and as our 70th Secretary of State.
