Legislation that would allow terminally ill adults in Virginia to end their lives by using medication prescribed by a physician passed its first General Assembly test Tuesday after a Senate panel heard written testimony from Congresswoman Jennifer Wexton, D-10th, who was diagnosed last year with supranuclear palsy, a terminal disease.
