Richmond police on Tuesday afternoon announced that 11 individuals had been charged and two vehicles had been impounded after multiple “street takeovers” left city intersections shut down Saturday night.

The charges — which include misdemeanor hit-and-run, reckless driving, driving on a suspended license and obstruction of justice, as well as a felony charge for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and 12 traffic citations — are the result of “coordinated information-sharing and enforcement efforts” by Richmond, Chesterfield County, Hanover County, Henrico County and state police forces, according to Richmond police.
