The Virginia Police Benevolent Association, which represents about 11,000 law enforcement officers in Virginia and backed Republican Glenn Youngkin in 2021, announced Wednesday that it is endorsing Democrat Abigail Spanberger for governor.
The organization is splitting its endorsements, backing Republicans John Reid for lieutenant governor and Attorney General Jason Miyares, who is seeking reelection.
