Objects, Art, and More and the Writers Guild of Virginia are pleased to announce that Irvington-author David Cariens will be signing his books on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Objects from noon until 4:00 p.m.
Cariens is a non-fiction writer and the author of ten books—all of which will be available. He is a retired CIA political analyst and wrote for all levels of the U.S. government–including the President as wells as members of the cabinet and congress. He has taught intelligence and crime analysis for the CIA, the FBI, Treasury’s Financial Crime Center, the National Counterterrorism Center, and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
His books include textbooks on intelligence and crime analysis, analyses of mass shootings in Virginia, and his three-part memoir, the third section, Deep State, is slated for publication in early 2027
A synopsis of this forthcoming memoir dealing with his 50+ years of working in intelligence and crime analysis will be available. Cariens will be available to chat with readers and share insights on writing.
