Top Virginia Republican officials quickly rejected a social media post from a staffer at the state GOP that attacked House Speaker Don Scott Jr., D-Portsmouth, and referenced his eight-year prison term.
The staffer has been fired, according to Rich Anderson, chairman of the Republican Party of Virginia.
