A Virginia man was sentenced on Friday to 30 years in prison for his role in a drug distribution conspiracy, which included using the U.S. Postal Service to ship “bulk packages” of nearly pure methamphetamine, officials said.

Prosecutors said Malik “Mayo” Dillard, 47, of Virginia Beach, for years used out-of-state suppliers to import substantial amounts of methamphetamine, which he then provided to dealers in the Hampton Roads area. Between September 2021 and February 2023, Dillard oversaw the shipment and sale of “wholesale” quantities of controlled substances, officials said.
