An arrest had been made in Middlesex County on 30-year-old Robert Nicholas Daniel of Jamaica on several felony charges.
According to the Middlesex County Sheriff’s Major M. E. Sampson, the Sheriff’s Office responded to a domestic call on August 26th at the Wake home on Mill Creek Road of 91-year-old Woodson Armstead Sr., Daniel’s maternal grandfather.
Armstead sustained head injuries and was transported to a hospital and then released a few days later. Armstead was then hospitalized again and died in the hospital on September 10th.
Daniel was later arrested on felony aggravated malicious wounding to Armstead along with three felony counts of assaults against law enforcement officers and several misdemeanor charges.
Daniel is being held with no bond at the Middle-Peninsula Regional Security Center.
