Fredericksburg, Virginia – Central Rappahannock Regional Library’s Westmoreland Library on the Go project has received a grant from Northern Neck Insurance’s Community Giving program. This grant supports the library’s work toward improving local communities by providing the resources and services necessary to meet evolving educational, recreational, and informational needs.

The Library on the Go outreach service is an essential part of the library’s mission of providing lifelong learning for everyone in the community.

Between July 1, 2022 and June 30, 2023, Library on the Go reached more than 7,000 community members.

CRRL is committed to bringing the library to customers who aren’t able to visit its buildings. The newest Library on the Go initiative, the Westmoreland programming van, will offer technology access, classes, and curated collections of books and other materials, as well as other library services.

CRRL received a grant to purchase the van; however, funding limitations have restricted fully completing the project. For information about supporting Library on the Go, contact Planning and Development Specialist Lisa Gray at planning.specialist@crrl.org.
