Virginia State Police are investigating after a tractor-trailer overturned on Interstate 64 in Norfolk Wednesday morning, spilling cans of Pepsi and Mountain Dew into the roadway.

Police said the truck ran off the highway and struck several concrete barriers at the 277 mile-marker of I-64 East near the Tidewater Drive exit at around 7:26 a.m. Wednesday. The truck turned onto its side, launching the soda cans into the travel lanes.

The accident also caused a breach in the truck’s fuel tank, police said. The fuel spill was contained by first responders with Norfolk Fire and Rescue.
