Virginia Republicans will choose this week among three Fairfax County candidates who want the GOP nomination to challenge U.S. Sen. Mark Warner, D-Va.

All three — Kim Farington, Bert Mizusawa and David Earl Williams — are political newcomers with experience working for the federal government, but they face a formidable opponent in Warner, a former governor who had more than $16 million in the bank on July 15, as the race turns to the general election after the statewide Republican primary on Tuesday.
